Our Creed:
The object of the Panhellenic Council shall be to develop and maintain women's sorority life and interfraternity relations at a high level of accomplishment and in so doing to:
Consider the goals and ideals of member organizations as applicable to campus and personal life.
Promote superior scholarship and intellectual development.
Cooperate with member women's sororities and the university/college administration to maintain high social and moral standards.
Act in accordance with National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) Unanimous Agreements, policies and best practices.
Act in accordance with such rules established by the Panhellenic Council as to not violate the sovereignty, rights and privileges of member sororities.
Position Responsibilities of all Panhellenic Executive Board Members:
Hold at least two office hours a week (in-person and/or on Zoom).
Serve as active, disaffiliated members of The Recruitment Team.

Position Responsibilities:
Preside over all meetings of the Panhellenic Council.
Serve as the Chairperson of the President’s Roundtable.
Oversee all Executive Officers and Directors.
Act as a liaison between Panhellenic and the University community.
Represent Panhellenic as a member of the Greek Programming Board through the Office of Sorority and Fraternity Life.
Ensure chapters have the necessary resources and training to meet the Standards of Fraternal Excellence.
Vice President of Internal Affairs

Position Responsibilities:
Manage the Panhellenic Council in accordance with the NPC Unanimous Agreements and other governing documents.
Review and update the Panhellenic Bylaws as necessary.
Host roundtables with Social Chairs, Risk Management Chairs, and/or Standards Chairs.
Provide educational programming on health and safety topics relevant to our community, including but not limited to: mental health awareness, safe drinking practices, sexual assault awareness, healthy relationships, hazing prevention, and crisis management.
Ensure that Panhellenic policies and procedures are consistently followed across all fourteen chapters.
Represent the Panhellenic Council on the Student Accountability Board and Hazing Prevention Team.
Oversee the following positions: Panhellenic Judicial Board, Health and Safety Director, and Health and Safety Committee.
Vice President of Public Relations

Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for all publicity for the Panhellenic Council, fostering a positive public image within the University of Tennessee and Knoxville communities.
Maintain communication and positive relationships with various audiences, including students, alumni, parents, UT faculty, and community partners.
Oversee all Panhellenic social media accounts and guide chapter PR chairs in developing strategic plans to highlight their chapter’s strengths.
Create and publish recruitment materials in collaboration with the Vice President of Recruitment.
Develop print and design materials as needed for the executive council.
Oversee the following positions: Assistant to the VP of PR and Marketing.
Vice President of Administration

Position Responsibilities:
Oversee the Panhellenic Council’s finances, including monetary transactions.
Record and archive Council minutes, distributing copies to members, chapter delegates, the Panhellenic Advisor, NPC Area Advisor, and relevant University of Tennessee administrators.
Track attendance at Council meetings and follow up with delegates after two absences.
Submit the annual budget for Council approval.
Notify chapters of their financial obligations to the Panhellenic Council.

Position Responsibilities:
Host roundtables with Sisterhood/Member Engagement Chairs to provide guidance, clarity, and address chapter issues.
Coordinate educational programs and address critical issues within the Panhellenic community.
Provide Pan-wide sisterhood opportunities.
Plan events for the Panhellenic and greater Knoxville community.
Oversee the following directors: Director of Access & Engagment.
Vice President of NEW Member Development

Position Responsibilities:
Host roundtables with each chapter’s New Member Educator.
Oversee Bid Day events.
Coordinate with OSFL and New Member Educators on new member responsibilities (NM Module, Kickoff, NM Plans, etc.).
Coordinate New Member Kickoff with chapters, OSFL, and campus staff.
Oversee the following Director: New Member Director.
Vice President of Scholarship

Position Responsibilities:
Foster a climate that prioritizes and appreciates academic excellence.
Plan and coordinate the annual Panhellenic Scholarship Recognition Program.
Provide resources and training for chapter scholarship chairs.
Recognize outstanding scholastic achievements and improvements at Panhellenic Council meetings.
Organize academic programming during Month of the Scholar.
Build strong faculty relationships and implement faculty appreciation programs.
Vice President of Philanthropy & Community Service

Position Responsibilities:
Distribute information on campus, community, and national philanthropy programs.
Ensure chapters have the necessary resources and training to comply with the Standards of Fraternal Excellence.
Plan and execute educational and fundraising programs for Circle of Sisterhood.
Notify the Panhellenic community about volunteer opportunities and activities.
Oversee all Panhellenic-sponsored philanthropic and community service projects, including Sisterhood Showcase, Greek Weekend, and other events benefiting Circle of Sisterhood.
Oversee the following director: Philanthropy Director and the Circle of Sisterhood Committee.
Vice President of Recruitment

Position Responsibilities:
Direct all recruiting activities for Panhellenic members, including Formal Membership Recruitment, Continuous Open Bidding, and Orientation Sessions.
Evaluate recruiting procedures regularly and identify opportunities for a more Values-Based Recruitment.
Propose annual recruitment policies and submit an Annual Recruitment Report.
Promote effective recruitment through publicity, workshops with chapters, and conferences with Recruitment Chairpersons.
Organize and lead weekly Recruitment Team meetings.
Conduct educational workshops for chapter recruitment chairs on best practices, rules, and policies.
Coordinate Recruitment Task Force meetings with all chairpersons and advisers.
Oversee the following director: Assistant Vice President of Recruitment.
Vice President of Recruitment Counselors

Position Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Vice President of Recruitment to develop the Formal Recruitment program.
Coordinate Gamma Chi recruitment and selection.
Develop coursework and instruction for the Gamma Chi class.
Organize a retreat and training sessions for Gamma Chis before Formal Recruitment.
Oversee Gamma Chi duties during Formal Recruitment.
Evaluate the Gamma Chi program after Formal Recruitment.
Assist the Vice President of Recruitment as needed.
Oversee the following director: Assistant Vice President of Recruitment Counselors.
